Candidate experience questions

Clear answers for employers and candidates.

What happens after a candidate receives a PXT Select invitation?

The candidate opens the assessment invitation, follows the secure access process, reviews the orientation and consent information, and then begins the assessment.

How long does PXT Select take?

PXT Select generally takes about 40 to 60 minutes. Candidates should allow enough uninterrupted time to read the instructions and respond thoughtfully.

What does PXT Select measure?

PXT Select measures thinking style, behavioral traits, and interests. The results help an employer compare the individual with the requirements of a specific role and prepare more focused interview questions.

Is PXT Select a pass-or-fail test?

No. PXT Select provides job-related information for comparison with a Performance Model and other hiring evidence. It should not serve as the only basis for an employment decision.

How should a candidate prepare?

Candidates should use a reliable internet connection, choose a quiet setting, read the instructions carefully, and answer honestly. They do not need to study for the assessment.

What should a candidate do if an accommodation is needed?

The candidate should contact the hiring organization before beginning the assessment so the organization can address the request through its established accommodation process.

Who receives the assessment results?

Results are provided to the organization administering the assessment and its authorized users according to the organization’s selection process and privacy practices.
